Green ATS lunch

April 12, 2015

Since we've been here in Tagaytay countless times in the past, the urge to seek for new restos to dine in goes on, too. We chose an unassuming eating joint along the main highway going to Nasugbu from the Rotonda just right in front of Sotogrande subdivision.

We initially wanted to occupy a table in a bahay kubo where you can have a good view of the Taal volcano but there's a catch. You have to consume p1,250.00. This irked my husband. Bakit daw kailangan pa nang ganoong rule. We were early so dapat first come first serve just like with how it is at Bulalo Point nearby.

Anyway, we just chose a table beside the sliding glass door.

The cool breeze and the very nice view made up for our initial disappointment.

what we came here for...

We ordered the 'generic food' one has to taste when in Tagaytay, the Beef Bulalo soup, but minus our usual Tawilis fish. We just chose a medium sized grilled Tilapia in replacement and four cups of steamed rice.

puro stems ng Pechay Baguio? asan ang leaves?

Me: Wala pa akong nakitang resto na generous when it comes to putting vegetables in their Bulalo. Kailangan mag-order ka pa ng salad or pinakbet para makatikim ng veggies.
Husband: Mas masarap talaga ang lutong-bahay...
Me: (thought bubble) Talaga. Mas masarap yung version ko. Madaming petchay  Tagalog, potatoes, leeks at repolyo.

though tender, bakit kami pa ang mag-cu-cut into bite-sized pieces?

The place tends to be noisy because it is along the highway. Otherwise, okay sana. The food was nothing spectacular. Tama lang ang lasa. The rice was of lower variety, mahirap lunukin. We paid P755.00, no service charge.

We didn't order any dessert since we chose to have it at the nearby Bag of Beans.
