Welcoming 2020

My son was in Baguio from Dec. 31 till January 2 with his friends so I opted not to cook anymore for the  New Year’s eve. Well, to be honest, it was more likely, I was too lazy to prepare just like what I did last Christmas. Over the years, I noticed kapag Pasko masipag pa ako mag-prepare and all, but come New year’s eve, medyo tinatamad na ako. This year we decided to just watch the fireworks in SM MOA and eat dinner na lang sa resto since it was just me and my husband.

Christmas 2018

It’s that time of the year again wherein I become a kitchen slave. But don't get me wrong, this is a small sacrifice for the love of family and of course, cooking. I just don’t normally cook this much during our birthdays or other occasions, Christmas lang talaga. Maybe because of the festive spirit of it or the cooler weather perhaps?

2018 anniversary

Contrary to last year, my husband and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary in a very simple manner. We just had dinner at Dulcinea Tomas Morato branch. We want it at Concha's Garden sana but the parking lot was full.

Our usual favorites on the table...

Happy Father’s day 2018

Happy Father’s day to my ever hardworking and selfless husband (and to all amazing fathers out there). We totally appreciate you for almost ‘spoiling’ us for twenty five years (and counting)!

birthday at Lugang Cafe, Kumori Japanese bakery

I think this was the first time that we celebrated my father in law's birthday in a restaurant. We always do it at my husband's ancestral home with a party.

Cheers to 2018

Hello, blog! I miss blogging! There are days that I would say I think I should blog about this or that but IG,Twitter or FB or offline life would always get in the way until I forgot about it already

Well, 2017 has been generally a good year. Here’s why:

Welcoming 2017

We are celebrating the NY in contrast with Christmas. We decided to have an overnight stay in a resort here in Subic. Though I crammed in reserving for a room during this peak season, I succeeded. There's no better way to end the year with seasalt in the air and in natural bliss.

Before the year ends, I'm taking the time to thank the Lord for keeping my family safe and in general, healthy. Though 2016 wasn't that smooth as the recent ones, I'm grateful. I thank all the people who made my life easier and happy. May the coming year be a brighter and peaceful one for all of us.

RIP 2016! Happy New Year!

Food galore

Disclaimer: If you're on a diet, skip this post. It will be detrimental to your health.

We love to eat but not too much that we can't handle. Would you believe we haven't tried any of the booming buffet restos around? It's our choice. Medyo talo kasi kami; Hubby and I are a lil conscious with our weight plus my son's a picky eater.

We still enjoy dining out at least twice a week or get invited in family gatherings like birthdays and the like.

loaded week

I started this week with fixing my hair color last Tuesday. As what I've said before, I'm too lazy to go to the salon. The last time was December 30, when I had my haircut. My hair color is overdue na, October last year pa yata? Medyo may social life ako this week so I really needed to push myself to have it fixed. That was my motivation.

Mother's day 2015

It's my turn. I'm happy to celebrate this occasion with my boys in a much different way.

More than blogs, I love Instagram too, to find anything new in the restaurant scene. Since we've been to Baguio many times, I'm always searching for anything new that this cool city would offer. We are not anymore after the touristy places but for the weather and the food trip na lang.

Baguio weekend

As I've said in my previous post, my son and I agreed to celebrate our "special days" here in Baguio. My husband liked the idea because he wanted also to make new memories with his new bike, too. Plus, we would like to escape the hot 34 degree temperature of Manila even for a while. We woke up late so we were on the road by 6:30 am na instead of 5:30 am. No worries, as we just want to have a relax kind of "roadtripping". We traversed the NLEX and SCTEX  without a hitch. Thanks, God. Sa dami ng aksidente na nangyayari araw-araw, one can't help to be thankful.

birthday celeb 3

April 13, 2015

My husband is kidding me. Ang haba daw ng birthday ko. Haha. Today is my actual birthday. I'm not used to celebrating it in advance but I have to keep up with the times. Medyo mahirap mag-organize ng get-together now kasi we have all our own busy skeds. So, talagang maswerte na lang kapag on time ang celebration.

Green ATS lunch

April 12, 2015

Since we've been here in Tagaytay countless times in the past, the urge to seek for new restos to dine in goes on, too. We chose an unassuming eating joint along the main highway going to Nasugbu from the Rotonda just right in front of Sotogrande subdivision.

birthday celeb 1

April 10, 2015

My immediate family came a bit late. My invitation was 7 pm but they arrived at eight. It was understandable because it's Friday and some of them came from work pa.

I cooked simple Filipino food, nothing fancy.

Preparing for tonight's dinner

I'm relieved that our once a week laundry woman Manang M is free tonight to assist me later. Yehey, washing the dishes wouldn't be a problem anymore.

As planned, early run to the modista, wet market for my crabs then the grocery this morning...
