Weekender 02: de-Christmastified, Mom's health and some shopping

Is there ever a word "de-Christmastify"? Well, I just invented it. :D

One word that will describe my Monday last week. I finally had the courage to undress my tree and washed it. Everything that will remind us of Christmas is already tucked away in their respective boxes and cabinets.

blessed week ahead

My sister is celebrating her birthday today. Yesterday, we(my Mom, Aunt, and sis) visited my late Dad to give honor. We believe that during our birthdays, we should also celebrate our parents. Because without their loving presence, we won't be here on earth.

Ash Valentines

Our Ash Valentine's wasn't that BIG compared to others. We don't usually celebrate it. My husband just greeted and kissed each other. It was a regular working day for him but he asked me if we could just go out in the evening and have dinner at a nearby food park.

Pre~Valentine's 2018

Royal Albert Old Country roses
I  love receiving food gifts. Those yummy Hopia buns with pastillas like fillings are given to us by one of our staff.  He bought it in Sta. Rita, Pampanga. I'm a sucker for native delicacies lalo na yung di pa gaano commercialized.

chocolate chip cookies + Blueberry loaf cake

I was on a bake roll today. Initially, I had a problem. I need two more eggs so I bought at the mini store near our house.

I baked the butter(loaf) cake first.

Wearing a Baker's hat

Dec. 21, 2015

For the past three years, I've been busy baking pre-Christmas. This year, I baked 15 dozens of cupcakes and 18 packs of cookies(six pcs. in ea) for my sis in law's and siblings' giveaways, respectively. I wasn't prepared actually. I just got a random call from my sis in law asking me if I could bake for her. This was the second time. The first one was when she requested for her only daughter's birthday giveaways last year. I was happy but surprised. I wasn't looking forward to baking this year. You see, I've been a "sloth" because of my Aldub fixation. Akala ko this season would just pass by just like that. In short, I had to move my ass. Haha. This is a blessing and I wouldn't shrug off the chance.
