payment day + unexpected mall hop

After my boys went to work, I did my laundry chore (by machine) and prepared to go to the mall with me thinking of going to the gym for the first time this year after I settle our(my son and I) SSS and Philhealth payments. Traffic was moderately heavy but bearable. Although I have to wait out for twenty minutes with my payments, it's such a relief that I'm done with my first agenda. I went to the LTO satellite office just beside the SSS and Philhealth offices and asked if I can already get my driver's license ID which I renewed April last year.

Financial peace

July 31, 2015
where my money would go...

My future self will thank me today. I happily got to tick off one financial goal from my 2015 to do list. Actually, it's been part of my 2012, 2013, and 2014 list. But I didn't have the courage yet to do so.

Back to Prepaid

I gave my p999 Smart plan to my son just because I pity him that he spends two hours on the road commuting by bus five days a week. He dislikes using the MRT. Mas madalas pa daw sira. At sa sobrang siksikan, dugyot na raw siya hindi pa nakakapasok sa opisina. True story.

shopping ban... not!

I promised to have a shopping ban a few weeks ago, di ba? Sad to say, I broke it. Huhu. Since then, I purchased a Uniqlo white shorts, a Fitflop sandals, a cheap coin purse, an eyeliner, two pillow cases and a teacup set. The shorts and sandals were actually exempted because the husband paid for it. After computing, reachable pa rin naman yung financial goals ko at the end of the year. But I really, really have to put a padlock on my wallet for the rest of the year kung kinakailangan.

warning: bawal mag-shopping

I will be having a self-imposed shopping ban starting today. I may not be an impulsive buyer or a big spender, but I have to do this to reach my money goals at the end of the year. I have everything I need. I have new clothes and shoes/sandals that I haven't worn yet. I'm confident that would tide me over the whole year round.

Being financially responsible

Apart from his 'treat' a month ago, we officially 'tasted' my son's share in our household expenses. It's just a meager amount from his sweldo. We agreed that he'll be the one in charge in paying our laundry woman weekly. I just want him to feel what a responsible adult should be. But the truth is, I'll save it and open another savings account for him so that 'may mabubunot siya sa panahon ng tag-ulan'. The more saving accounts, the merrier. Shhhh..

Auditing + Back to the gym

I spent half of my morning trying to account all my expenses from last year. I usually do this at the start of the year para malaman ko kung saan ako mag-a-adjust in the new year in terms of our family budget. By this, I would know too, kung may savings ako from last year's. It seems as expected, a big chunk of it napunta sa vacations. Our three major out of town trips- Baler, Aurora,  La Luz, Batangas and Baguio(twice). I didn't include Subic during my birthday because we didn't stay overnight, a minor expense. Our SG plane tickets + Universal Studios are included too, because ako na ang sumagot doon and I booked last November.
