Welcoming 2020

My son was in Baguio from Dec. 31 till January 2 with his friends so I opted not to cook anymore for the  New Year’s eve. Well, to be honest, it was more likely, I was too lazy to prepare just like what I did last Christmas. Over the years, I noticed kapag Pasko masipag pa ako mag-prepare and all, but come New year’s eve, medyo tinatamad na ako. This year we decided to just watch the fireworks in SM MOA and eat dinner na lang sa resto since it was just me and my husband. 

San Fernando, Pampanga roadtrip

Today, my husband and I decided to take a different driving route. We wanted to visit again San Fernando, Pampanga just to check out the sports depot that we frequent there whenever we visit the Northern part of Manila. We are obviously tired of city driving and the crowd in the malls. We want a different kind of date. We left at about 3pm.

Thunderstorm looming in the horizon just after the tollgate in Mindanao Avenue. This didn't dampen our spirits. Tuloy pa rin ang lakwatsa.

Eto na naman. I was contemplating how and when will we celebrate my son's birthday this May. He initially told me that he will be joining a Cosplay event in Pampanga on the very same date. I was disappointed but I didn't dwell on it and eventually plan for alternative days instead.

My Sun internet connection has been acting up again. I noticed this lately every time I go out of town. First was in Cebu, now here in Tagaytay. We're hoping that we could connect at Bag of Beans wi-fi while having dessert.

Since we've been here in Tagaytay countless times in the past, the urge to seek for new restos to dine in goes on, too. We chose an unassuming eating joint along the main highway going to Nasugbu from the Rotonda just right in front of Sotogrande subdivision.

Busted tire

We were in for a surprise on our way to Tagaytay. It was a busted front tire on my side naman. 

Tagaytay city bound

Days before, it was a cross between Subic and Tagaytay for my birthday celeb no. 2. My son decided last minute that he won't join their office outing because of his allergic rhinitis yesterday. He said he wanted to take his Sunday off because Monday is still a regular work day. Of course, I'm one happy Mama since he chose to be with us.

We headed to this eating joint after our mass at Sto. Niño Cathedral. It is known for its wide array of food which comprises of pork, seafood, etc. which are mostly inihaw or grilled over charcoal.
