Dekada Historic Filipino cuisine

June 28, 2015

It was a late 12th birthday celebration for my nephew. We weren't able to celebrate it because they went to Sierra Madre resort for a quick getaway last May 27.

My sis and bro in law invited us last Sunday for lunch. Dekada is still new in the restaurant scene I think. My own family haven't tried this before although it has a branch at Trinoma where we frequent.

It took a while before we were seated. About thirty minutes to forty yata. It's a Sunday so it was given.

my Mom and Aunt were very amused with the menu. Binabasa talaga nila ang details...

We like their Filipino/Spanish themed ambiance. It reminds us of our history as a nation.

Nakabantay si Rizal...

On the table after another thirty minutes of waiting...

twice-cooked Adobo

Gising-gising

Caldereta

Kare-kare

We ordered my nephews' fave garlic chicken and Sinigang na Salmon sa Miso, bottomless Dalandan and Mango for our drinks, too. The Adobo and Caldereta weren't tender enough to the bite. Pero malasa siya. Sana malaki din ang servings.

Although nalipasan na kami halos ng gutom, we had a great time bonding which doesn't happen always. Another Sunday well-spent with family.
