the rest of Mother's day

May 10, 2015

noontime seemed like 6pm

We went down from Baguio as soon as we checked out of the hotel. We wanted to dine at a nearby restaurant but the rain made us decide to just have our lunch at Matutina's in Urdaneta, Pangasinan(an hour drive away) just like we used to do. It was raining and foggy. After all, there was a typhoon, Dodong, specifically, but was far enough to affect Benguet province.

I thought it would be bad. But as soon as we reached the flatlands of Pangasinan, the sun showed up mightily.

We were frustrated that Matutina's were closed temporarily due to the volume of people who wants to dine there. First time again for us. As much as possible talaga ayaw ko ng weekend trips. Overpopulated talaga ang Pilipinas. It was two-thirty in the afternoon na. Good thing we had biscuits, strawberries, oranges, chocolates and water as baon. That's a tip- always bring spare food. You'll never know what will happen. Mabuti na ang sigurista.

this place tends to be crowded din parang palengke, magulo
We decided to drop by San Fernando, Pampanga and buy Nathaniel's Buko pandan for my son's birthday dinner at my Mom's house. Though it's an hour and fifteen minutes away from home, we chose to have our lunch na there, too. Masarap naman kaya lang ewan ba namin bakit by the next day we all felt awful. Pagod lang siguro.

bought two-the big one(P500) for dinner at Mom's and the smaller one(P200) for my fam's consumption
I have to greet my Mom on this special day, so as soon as we got home kahit medyo pagod, I went to the wet market and grocery in a jiffy to buy the ingredients and food that we will bring that night. All my siblings will be there, kaya naging instant birthday dinner na rin ng anak ko. I bought fifteen sticks of Pork barbecue, two roasted whole Chicken and then cooked Pancit Canton for his birthday noodles.

it was delicious according to everyone... chamba ako
