Subic escape anew : Camayan Beach Resort

My husband has been suffering from colds for almost ten days already. He insisted on curing it the natural  way because we all know that the common colds can be treated with rest, hydration and nutrition. I made him breath a few drops of Eucalytus oil over boiled water, prepared Ginger tea with lemon and honey plus soupy meals like Nilagang Baka(beef broth), Tinolang Manok(Chicken soup w/ ginger), Sinigang Ribs and Bangus alternately. Over the weekend, he went to Manila Bay twice too, to at least breath some sea air to loosen his clogged nose.

Last Sunday, he asked me if we could have a quick beach trip to Subic. We always choose it over Batangas because it is accessibly favorable to us. We don’t have to deal with heavy traffic since we live near the North expressway. In just one and a half hours, we arrived there at 7:00 am, this Monday. We had a quick breakfast of lonngganisa meal at McDonald’s.

We paid p500.00 (almost $10) entrance fee for a day trip. This includes use of the beach and common shower/changing room. Beach hut rentals are also available.

Whenever we can, we always choose also to have trips on a weekday because the crowd is thinner or it has none at all. Total bliss it is.

This wasn't our first time here. We enjoyed our brief stay once more; the water boasted of different species of fish swimming underneath kahit sa pampang pa lang. Malinis at well-maintained ang resort. Service staff was very helpful and cordial, greeting their guests with 'Good morning!'. I just wish they provide a stool in each of the changing rooms and add more lighting fixtures. Because I've seen only two, they should also add more showers outside, one that doesn't need to be pressed  for the water to come out. Overhead showers maybe?
