prepping for Christmas 2016

Woah, Merry Christmas! I've been meaning to update but 'life happened' once again. How was your Christmas?

Just like in the recent years(pre-Christmas), I spent most of my time in my kitchen to prepare my baked giveaways and our Noche Buena. In between cooking, I could be found in malls, palengke and groceries shopping of course. Anywhere related to food. Haha.

I baked brownies(for my sis' office giveaways), cupcakes and cookies a week before.

I prefer giving food gifts mas special pa-it's homemade by yours truly. Yun lang sobrang pagod ako.

I always plan ahead para hindi ako mataranta since I'm the only one who does everything. I've no household help. By 23rd, I cooked my baked Macaroni and Beef Caldereta na. It would be re-heated na lang by Noche Buena. I prepared na rin my Cherry Panna cotta to have it chilled. I cooked my Christmas Lapu-lapu in Mushroom sauce on Christmas eve. I thought I could relax a bit na by 24th, bigla nagkayayaan kami magpunta sa Estancia mall(Capitol Commons) because my husband and I doesn't have a gift for each other pa. Haha.

Wooohoo, no traffic!

Before malling, we ate our lunch at Cafe Mediterranean na lang.

Kebab(fish, chicken, beef) platter + Basmatti rice, not in pic
Out of the whim, we decided to watch a movie. My husband wanted to repeat Star Wars Rogue One while I always wanted to see Enteng Kabisote because of Aldub. *wink* Surprisingly, my son accompanied me since he's done with Star Wars na and he wanted to check also on the film's graphics because it was their company who was commissioned to do the special effects. So we headed to SM North Edsa and caught the last available screening of the said movies. Buti sabay. Haha.

We had a quick merienda at Costa first...

After the movie, I decided to buy my gift for the husband. I went to St. Michael's and found one. Yun lang ang haba pa ng line but nothing beats Uniqlo! I'm appalled that thirty minutes before the mall closes ang dami pa rin tao. Dati kapag 24, people were mostly stuck in their homes na cooking one to sawa. Times have changed.
