After buying new plants, we plant parents are very excited in re-potting them next. My ritual is to spray them with my homemade partial insecticide first, as a precautionary measure if ever they are harboring any insect or fungi. This way you protect your other house plants also from infection, if there's any.
Lastly, I acclimatize them in my garden for at least three to five days to avoid transplant shock. 🙂
